CHRISTMAS LIGHTS AND DECORATIONS IN PARIS

Christmas is one of the most wonderful time of the year, especially in Paris. But not need to wait until Christmas Eve to enjoy Christmas Spirit: we selected for you some of the best spots to enjoy Christmas lights and decorations from late November onwards. In December, the lights make Paris more magical than ever!

 

CHAMPS ELYSEES

Champs Elysées is an enchanting place during Christmas Time thanks to the amazing  fairy lights. Even if the traditional Christmas Market is cancelled this year, you can still enjoy a great walk alongside the most famous avenue in the world and its 200 trees which scintillate with beautiful lights. Near the Champs Elysées, you should also drop by the Avenue Montaigne, which is literally flooded with lights.

 

 

GRANDS MAGASINS

The best way to awaken your inner child is to take a glance at the Department Stores Christmas window displays. You could spend ours peeping at the impressive window displays and Christmas Lights of the most famous Parisian ones, as le BHV Marais, les Galeries Lafayette or Le Printemps.

 

Le BHV Marais

Le BHV Marais, one of the oldest department store in Paris (created in 1856, more than 30 years before Les Galeries Lafayette!), displays some of the best Christmas decorations in town.

 

The department store partnered with the Danish Consulate to make "Danish Christmas" decorations. The Danish Christmas Month at BHV was officially launched by Princess Marie of Denmark herself!

 

Les Galeries Lafayette

As always, the Department Store has done a great work with beautiful and creative decorations. A giant Christmas Tree decorated with funny balloons have been installed under the Art Deco glass dome of the Galeries Lafayette.

 

 

Le Printemps

This year the department store windows tell the story of an enchanting journey through animated figures and magical decor. The stunning festive decorations and lights are a source of wonder for both children and grown-ups.

 

GALERIE VIVIENNE

The Galerie Vivienne, built in 1823,  is one of the most famous covered passage of Paris. This elegant galerie, with its amazing mosaic floor and beautiful glassroof is decorated with a lot of lights that adorn the walls. Go there at night and be sure to have an unforgettable experience. The Galerie closes at 8.30 pm.
