If you’re looking for a true Parisian bistrot that locals love—far from the usual tourist traps—Le Cellier is the perfect spot. With the creative touch of Michelin-starred chef Stéphane Pitré (from Restaurant Louis), this gem offers an authentic dining experience at an accessible price.

Chef Pitré draws inspiration from his Breton roots, which shine through in the restaurant’s exceptional seafood dishes. At the same time, he weaves in international influences, creating unique fusion plates.

Located in a genuine Parisian district, Le Cellier attracts a predominantly local clientele. Dining here feels like stepping into everyday Parisian life, giving you the chance to mingle with residents while enjoying refined, unpretentious cuisine.

Le Cellier pays tribute to the tradition of the French bistrot, with a minimalist yet elegant décor that captures a warm Parisian atmosphere.

The restaurant features two spacious dining areas: a lively front room near the bar, ideal for drinks and small bites, and a cozier back room with a glass roof overlooking a charming courtyard. In summer, a covered outdoor terrace adds to the appeal.
Open for both lunch and dinner, Le Cellier offers two distinct experiences. Lunchtime draws a bustling crowd of local professionals in search of a quick, high-quality meal, while dinner transforms the space into a more intimate, relaxed setting—perfect for savoring every bite and enjoying the chef’s creations at a slower pace.

Le Cellier offers a delightful mix of classic French dishes and creative seasonal specials. While the restaurant is renowned for its focus on fish and seafood, it also features carefully selected meat dishes and thoughtful vegetarian options. Whenever possible, ingredients are sourced locally—primarily from the Paris region and Brittany—working closely with producers who uphold the highest quality standards.
During our visit, we sampled two outstanding entrées:

Marinated sea bream salad with ginger and coriander, green papaya, carrots, and cashew nuts – A refreshing fusion dish with Thai-inspired flavors that’s as vibrant as it is flavorful.

Pâté en croûte with Breton samphire, served with cucumber, pickles, and mesclun – A quintessentially French classic, executed with finesse.
For those who enjoy a traditional French apéritif, Le Cellier also offers an array of small plates perfect for sharing.
Two seafood dishes stood out:

Seared octopus glazed with soy, served with seasoned sushi rice, coriander, and ginger – A remarkable blend of Asian and Western influences; the octopus was perfectly tender with a balanced umami glaze.

Oven-roasted pollock fillet with preserved lemons and shallots, accompanied by a delicate carrot–cumin mousseline – A beautifully harmonious dish, light yet full of flavor, ideal for fish lovers.
While meat options such as chicken and beef are available, we opted to explore the restaurant’s seafood offerings on this visit.
The meal ended on a sweet high note:

Tiramisu served in a verrine, drizzled with espresso poured into its chocolate shell – The showstopper of the evening. When the server gently pours the espresso, the chocolate shell slowly melts before your eyes, creating a visually stunning finale.
Molten Guanaja Grand Cru chocolate box with a hint of miso – A luxurious reinterpretation of the classic fondant au chocolat, rich and melt-in-your-mouth.
